PAWW
The PAWW (Private Supplement to WW and WGA) obligation came into effect on August 1, 2022. This is an article from the ABU Collective Labor Agreement.
In 2016, the duration of unemployment benefit and salary-related WGA was shortened from 38 months to a maximum of 2 years. Social partners then agreed that the missed months could be repaired privately in the PAWW. This extends the right to benefits after paid work to the original duration. The supplementary arrangement is laid down in the collective collective labor agreement PAWW, and the implementation of this private initiative has been deposited with the PAWW Foundation (SPAWW). Employees of organizations affiliated with the SPAWW can claim a PAWW benefit.
As an employee, you must apply for the PAWW yourself via the PAWW Foundation.
The PAWW contribution is calculated on the gross salary. In 2022, the contribution amount will be 0.2% of the gross salary. This means that we withhold 0.2% from your gross salary, but on the other hand you receive compensation equal to the amount that is withheld, so you will not notice it in your salary.
